Ghosts of Athens Past

Have you noticed all the old signs on the sides of the buildings downtown?  I love it when the owners leave remnants of the past.  Here are a few of my favorites.
If you look close you can make out "Davison's" under the top red line.  Davison's was a department store that occupied the building now housing The Mellow Mushroom, Herschel's, and the Graduate School.  As a kid I used to visit the store and dream.  To me it was the most magical place I had ever seen.  You can see this sign from the corner of Broad and Jackson.

The next two are on the side of the Magnolias also located on the corner of Broad Street and Jackson.

Just walk up a few paces toward the Arch and you will see this cool advertisement from the past.
