Christmas in Athens

Milledge Avenue is home to a number of Sororities and Fraternities who really know how to decorate their beautiful houses.  Here are a few of my favorites.

Alpha Gamma Delta house, located at 530 South Milledge,  is also known as the
"Wedding Cake House."

Delta Sigma Phi House, located at 285 South Milledge, was built
by Andrew Lipscome, UGA's first chancellor, for his mother.
Mary Lipscome was the principal of the Lucy Cobb Institute for Girls.

My favorite this year is the Phi Mu House located at 250 South Milledge.
It was built in 1858 by Thomas and Sarah Hamilton who are said
to be Georgia's first millionaires.
Simply breathtaking!
