Random Shots for a Saturday morning

Just some random shots that I came across this morning while I was trying to organize my photos.  I always enjoy the messages on the Methodist church downtown but this one is my favorite!

And she did bigger and better.  Great job everyone.   I am looking forward to more concerts this year.

And of course, Jared did not save the tree.  I don't have words to describe the house that took the place of the tree.  My mom always told me if you can't say anything nice then don't say anything at all.  Let's just leave it at that.

Athens is my favorite town.  There is both good and bad here like in any town.  New and old.  Ugly and beautiful.  Sometimes you will find them living right next door to each other.   I hope you get a chance to enjoy our town.

Lost Art

While I was looking at some of the photos that I have taken I came across one of the beautiful mural that used to be on the side of the Georgia Theatre.  I must admit that I miss this touching memorial.  There was something comforting about the angel watching over the mural.  The inscription used to read:
"All the love I had ever known went away.  I was dazed & my eyes were white like cueballs.  I fell asleep where I stood crumbled in a heap.  When I awoke there was an angel sitting on the floor beside me.  She stayed with me every day, every hour with her hand in mine until I found my love.
This mural is dedicated to Aimee.
