With the first snow flurries students, staff, and faculty were excited. Everyone was anticipating getting out early and the possibility of the university being closed the next day. The campus closed at 3:30 and is closed today.

Strange creatures started appearing all over campus. It was the beginning of the Attack of the Little Snowmen. Nothing like a little snow to bring out the kid in all of us. Enjoy the day Athens!

Spec Towns Track
In 1936 Forrest Towns became the first Georgian to be a member of the American Olympic Team. He won the gold in the 110 m hurdle. Towns later became the Head Track and Field coach at the University of Georgia.
